Your winter holiday in Tyrol

Winter magic in the Wipptal

During the colder months, Navis in the Wipptal reveals a very special side. At around 1,500 metres above sea level, the valley is transformed into a snow-covered mountain landscape with sparkling peaks, crisp mountain air and everything you could wish for in a winter holiday in the Tyrolean mountains. Perfectly groomed ski slopes or unspoilt natural surroundings? Around Navis, you'll find plenty of opportunities to enjoy both.

You'll find everything you need for a relaxing winter holiday right here: a secure ski storage room with a ski boot dryer, complimentary snowshoes, sledges and walking poles, as well as the ski bus stop directly outside the property. After an active day in the snow, round off the evening by relaxing in our sauna.

Skiing in the Wipptal

The Bergeralm Ski Arena in Steinach am Brenner is just a 15-minute drive from Das Eppensteiner. This family-friendly ski resort offers 30 kilometres of slopes for all abilities, with varied runs between 1,000 and 2,200 metres above sea level.

For even more skiing, the Stubai Glacier is just a 45-minute drive away, offering excellent snow conditions from autumn through to spring.

Night skiing at the Bergeralm

Fancy turning night into day? Every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm, you can do just that at the Bergeralm. With more than nine kilometres of floodlit slopes and four different runs, the Bergeralm is one of the largest night skiing areas in Europe.

Ski touring &
winter hiking

Beyond the ski slopes, the Wipptal offers spectacular mountain scenery. The Naviser Kreuzjöchl and Naviser Sonnenspitze are among the most popular destinations for ski touring. Winter walks and snowshoe hikes through the Tux Alps offer varied routes for all abilities. The Gschnitztal and Obernbergtal are also well worth exploring. In the Obernbergtal, particular emphasis is placed on environmentally responsible ski touring. Information boards along the routes highlight protected areas, helping to preserve the habitats of black grouse and capercaillie.

Tobogganing in Navis

No winter holiday in Tyrol is complete without a toboggan ride. Around Navis, you'll find two varied natural toboggan runs: the gentle Peer Alm run, ideal for families and leisurely riders, and the Naviser Hütte run, offering a more exhilarating descent for those looking for a little more speed. For your safety, we also recommend wearing a helmet, especially for children.

Family winter holidays

Experiencing winter in Tyrol with children means discovering new adventures in the snow together every day. Around Das Eppensteiner, there are plenty of activities for adventurers of all ages. Right here in Navis, the beginners' drag lift offers ideal conditions for children and first-time skiers. The family-friendly Bergeralm Ski Arena and Family Paradise Trins are both within easy reach and offer plenty of fun on the slopes. Toboggan runs and snow-covered walking trails complete the perfect winter holiday for the whole family.
