What is the best way to get to the accommodation?
Our Eppensteiner Apartments & Holiday Home in Navis is easily accessible by car via the Brenner Motorway, taking the Matrei am Brenner exit. You can also travel by train to Matrei am Brenner railway station and continue into the Navis Valley by bus. If you are arriving by air, Innsbruck Airport is the nearest airport, with onward travel available by hire car, taxi or public transport.
How far away are the railway station, the airport and the nearest bus stop?
Matrei am Brenner railway station is about 9 km away, and Innsbruck Airport is around 32 km away. The nearest bus stop is located directly outside the accommodation.
Is there a transfer service from Matrei am Brenner?
No, Eppensteiner Apartments & Holiday Home does not offer its own transfer service. However, as Matrei am Brenner railway station is only around 9 km away, you can easily continue your journey into the Navis Valley by scheduled bus. Alternatively, taxis are available at the station.
Is parking available at Eppensteiner Apartments & Holiday Home?
Yes, free parking is available directly at the accommodation.
Are there electric vehicle charging stations?
Yes, there is an electric vehicle charging point directly at the accommodation. Additional public charging stations are available nearby, for example at Navis Primary School and at the Grün public car park in the village.
From what time is check-in possible?
Check-in is possible from 14:00.
When is the reception open?
Reception is staffed daily, although there are no fixed opening hours. We kindly ask you to let us know your approximate arrival time in advance.
Is luggage storage available for early arrivals?
Yes, you are welcome to leave your luggage in a secure storage area if you arrive before check-in. We kindly ask you to let us know your approximate arrival time in advance.
What happens if you arrive in the evening?
If you are arriving after 9.00 pm, please let us know in advance so that we can arrange your check-in on an individual basis. If the reception is unstaffed, you will receive the key code in your arrival email.
What time is check-out?
Check-out is possible until 11:00.
What types of accommodation are available at Eppensteiner?
We offer one double room, one single room, nine modern apartments and one holiday home. The apartments are available in three categories: Comfort, Deluxe and Premium.
How large are the rooms, apartments and holiday home?
The double room is around 17 m², the single room around 12 m², the apartments range from 33 m² to 47 m², and the holiday home is 140 m².
How many guests can the accommodation units accommodate?
The single room accommodates 1 guest, the double room 2 guests, the apartments up to 4 guests, and the holiday home up to 10 guests. One apartment can accommodate up to 5 guests.
Do the apartments have separate living and sleeping areas?
Yes, all apartments feature separate living and sleeping areas. The apartment for up to 5 guests includes one double bedroom, one single bedroom and a sofa bed in the living area.
What facilities do the rooms offer?
The rooms feature high-quality beds, a bathroom with shower, WC and hairdryer, a seating area with a table, satellite TV and free Wi-Fi.
How are the apartments equipped?
The apartments are stylishly and modernly furnished and feature parquet flooring, high-quality beds, a bathroom with shower, WC and hairdryer, a fully equipped kitchen, a cosy dining area, a sofa bed, satellite TV, free Wi-Fi and a balcony with mountain views of the Serles and Habicht peaks. The apartment for up to 5 guests includes one double bedroom, one single bedroom and a sofa bed in the living area.
How is the holiday house equipped?
The holiday home features four bedrooms, including two triple rooms and two double rooms, high-quality beds, an en-suite bathroom with shower, WC and hairdryer for each bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a cosy dining area, a sofa, a washing machine, satellite TV, free Wi-Fi and a balcony with mountain views of the Serles and Habicht peaks.
How are the kitchens in the apartments and holiday home equipped?
The apartments and holiday home feature fully equipped kitchens with a hob, oven, fridge, coffee machine with complimentary starter capsules, dishwasher, and a full range of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid and tea towels are also provided. In addition, the apartments are equipped with a Quooker tap that provides instant boiling water, cold water as well as a mineral water function.
Do the accommodation units have a balcony or terrace?
Are bed linen and towels provided?
Yes, bed linen and towels are provided free of charge in all accommodation units.
Is there air conditioning?
No, the accommodation at Eppensteiner Apartments & Holiday Home is not air-conditioned. As the property is located at an altitude of over 1,400 metres, temperatures remain pleasantly cool even during the summer months.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available in all accommodation units and throughout the property.
Is there a washing machine?
Yes, the holiday home is equipped with a washing machine. Guests may use free of charge. Please bring your own laundry detergent. We also offer a laundry and ironing service for an additional charge.
Are the rooms, apartments and holiday home cleaned during your stay?
The rooms are cleaned regularly during your stay. The apartments and holiday home are not cleaned during your stay as standard. However, a daily cleaning service is available on request for an additional charge.
How should rubbish be disposed of before departure?
Rubbish disposal is included as part of the final cleaning. However, we kindly ask you to separate and dispose of your waste correctly in the designated recycling bins during your stay.
Are there accessible accommodation units?
Yes, five of our apartments and the single room are wheelchair accessible. You are welcome to send us a no-obligation enquiry directly.
Are feather-free pillows and bedding available for guests with allergies?
Yes, all our pillows, duvets and bed linen are feather-free and suitable for guests with allergies.
What meals are included in the price?
Breakfast is included for guests staying in the double and single rooms. No meals are included with the apartments or holiday home, but breakfast can be added for €18.00 per person per day.
Can breakfast be added to my stay?
Yes, our Wipptal Mountain Breakfast can be added for an additional €18.00 per person per day. Children aged 4 to 11 pay €12.00, while children up to the age of 3 eat free of charge. You can book breakfast for individual days or for the entire duration of your stay. Please book no later than the day before.
When is breakfast served?
The Wipptal Mountain Breakfast is served daily from 7:30 am to 10:00 am. During the winter months, we are also happy to serve breakfast from 7:00 am on request.
Is there a snack and drinks vending machine?
Yes, there is a snack and drinks vending machine at the accommodation. You can buy snacks, drinks and coffee capsules.
Are there any shops nearby?
Yes, the ADEG supermarket in the centre of Navis is around 2 km from the accommodation. Additional shopping facilities can be found in Matrei am Brenner.
Are there any restaurants, cafés and bars nearby?
Yes, there are several places to eat and drink in Navis, including Gasthof Kirchenwirt and Peer Alm. You will find a wider selection of restaurants, cafés and bars in Matrei am Brenner.
Are there barbecue facilities at the accommodation?
No, there are no barbecue facilities at Eppensteiner Apartments & Holiday Home.
Is the tap water safe to drink?
Yes, the tap water in Tyrol is of excellent drinking water quality and is perfectly safe to drink.
Can private celebrations be held at Eppensteiner Apartments & Holiday Home?
Yes, Eppensteiner Apartments & Holiday Home provide the perfect setting for private celebrations, including birthdays, christenings, first communions, wedding receptions, traditional Törggelen evenings in autumn and corporate events. We would be delighted to prepare a personalised quotation for your event and look forward to receiving your enquiry in good time.
How many guests can events accommodate?
Our indoor event space can accommodate up to 50 guests. From 2027 onwards, a 90 m² rooftop terrace with an integrated 32 m² indoor area will also be available for additional events.
Can vegetarian, vegan or special dietary menus be provided?
We are happy to offer vegetarian menus as well as meals for guests with food intolerances or allergies. However, vegan menus are not available at Eppensteiner Apartments & Holiday Home.
Does the Eppensteiner also organise its own events?
Yes, we regularly host our own events and culinary experiences. These include the traditional Törggelen in autumn, our "Wild Wednesday" featuring game specialities, as well as Frühschoppen and Dämmerschoppen events several times a year with live performances by well-known folk music ensembles. Current event dates can be found on our website or are available on request.
Can the Eppensteiner be booked for seminars, team-building events or workshops?
Yes, our property is an ideal venue for seminars, workshops, team-building activities and corporate events. Comfortable rooms and apartments are available, as well as a holiday home, a 32 m² seminar room with standard facilities, a private toilet and a 90 m² terrace for breaks, group work or shared activities. We would be delighted to prepare a personalised quotation for your event.
Is there a wellness area?
Yes, Eppensteiner Apartments & Holiday Home feature a wellness area with a Finnish sauna, an infrared cabin and a relaxation room. The wellness area is open on request.
Is there a pool?
No, Eppensteiner Apartments & Holiday Home do not have a swimming pool.
From what age can guests use the sauna?
Is there a garden for relaxing?
Yes, guests are welcome to relax in our spacious garden.
Are massage and beauty treatments available?
No, massage and beauty treatments are not offered at Eppensteiner Apartments & Holiday Home.
Are bathrobes, slippers and sauna towels provided?
Sauna towels are available free of charge in the wellness area. Bathrobes can be hired on site for a fee. Bathing slippers are not provided, so we kindly ask guests to bring their own.
Are there accommodation units suitable for families?
Yes, the apartments can accommodate up to 4 guests, while the holiday home is suitable for up to 11 guests.
Care baby cots available?
Yes, we are happy to provide a baby cot free of charge on request. We would ask you to let us know this in advance.
Can I borrow a kettle or bottle warmer?
No, kettles are not available at Eppensteiner Apartments & Holiday Home. However, all kitchens are equipped with a Quooker tap that provides instant boiling water.
Are high chairs available?
Yes, high chairs are available for our youngest guests in the dining room. On request, we are also happy to provide a high chair for your apartment or holiday home.
Is there a playground nearby?
Yes, there are children's playgrounds in the centre of Navis, at the Grün car park and in the Kerschbaum residential area. Children are also welcome to play in our large garden. A Kneipp facility is also available at the Schranzberg car park.
Are children allowed in the wellness area?
No, access to the wellness area and sauna is restricted to guests aged 16 and over.
Are there discounts for children?
Yes, children up to the age of 2 stay free of charge at Eppensteiner Apartments & Holiday Home. Children aged 3 to 6 are charged €30.00 per night, while children aged 7 and over are charged €35.00 per night when sharing a room, apartment or holiday home with two full-paying adults.
What leisure activities are available for children in the surrounding area?
There are plenty of activities for children in and around Navis, including:
- the Navis Fitness Trail and a playground in the village centre
- the Bärenbachl Water and Adventure Park and the indoor wooden playground in Steinach am Brenner
- the Kraftsee lake with a playground in Matrei am Brenner
- the Kneipp facility at the Schranzberg car park
- themed playgrounds such as the Energy Playground in Trins or the Water Trail in the Gschnitztal valley
- the practice T-bar lift in Navis for young skiers, as well as a family toboggan run in winter
Do guests receive a free guest card on arrival?
Yes, you will receive the complimentary Wipptal Card (Wipptal Guest Card) from us on arrival. It offers a range of benefits, including free travel on public transport throughout the Wipptal Valley as well as discounts on mountain lifts and leisure activities.
Is the Wipptal Card valid for my journey to the accommodation?
Yes, the Wipptal Card is valid from the moment you set off from Innsbruck or the Brenner Pass. Please contact us before your arrival so that we can send you the guest card in good time.
What leisure activities does the region offer in summer?
The Navis Valley and the surrounding Wipptal region offer a wide range of activities during the summer months. Popular options include hiking the Navis Alpine Pasture Trail (Naviser Almenrunde), excursions to the Naviser Kreuzjöchl and Naviser Sonnenspitze, as well as (e-)mountain biking along varied routes and single trails. The Navis Fitness Trail also offers the chance to take part in sporting activities in the great outdoors.
It’s also well worth taking a trip to the Bärenbachl Water and Adventure Park, Lake Obernberg or the various themed and adventure playgrounds in the region. The Navis Valley is also home to eight traditional mountain huts, where you can combine scenic walks with regional specialities and magnificent mountain views.
Are there hiking trails directly from the accommodation?
Yes, numerous hiking trails begin right on the doorstep. From Eppensteiner Apartments & Holiday Home, you can set off for the Navis Alpine Pasture Trail (Naviser Almenrunde), the Naviser Kreuzjöchl or the Naviser Sonnenspitze. The Navis Fitness Trail also passes close to the accommodation. Naviser Hütte mountain hut can be reached on foot in around 60 minutes.
Are there any cycling or mountain biking routes nearby?
Yes, the region offers an extensive network of cycling and mountain biking trails. The Naviser Almenrunde is particularly popular, as it passes several mountain huts where food and drink are served. Navis also offers challenging single trails and varied mountain bike routes along forest tracks and through alpine terrain, many of which are ideal for e-bikes.
Is there a bicycle hire service near the accommodation?
Yes, mountain bikes and e-bikes can be hired from the Navis E-Bike Hire Centre by telephone reservation. Bikes can be collected between 8:00 am and 9:00 am and must be returned before nightfall.
Is there a bicycle storage room?
Yes, guests have access to a lockable bicycle storage room. Please note that the holiday home does not have its own bicycle storage facility.
Are there facilities for charging e-bikes?
Yes, you can charge your e-bike in the bicycle storage room.
Can I borrow hiking poles?
Yes, hiking poles and a hiking rucksack are available to borrow free of charge at Eppensteiner Apartments & Holiday Home.
How far away is the nearest mountain lift?
The nearest mountain lift is the Bergeralm lift in Steinach am Brenner, approximately 12 km from the accommodation.
What activities are available in the region during the winter?
The Navis Valley and the surrounding Wipptal region offer a wide range of winter activities for active travellers and families, including:
- ski touring to peaks such as the Naviser Kreuzjöchl or the Naviser Sonnenspitze
- winter walks and snowshoe hikes through the snow-covered mountain landscape
- tobogganing on the natural toboggan runs at the Peer Alm and the Naviser Hütte
- skiing on the practice drag lift in Navis for children and beginners
- skiing in the Bergeralm ski area or on the Stubai Glacier
- cross-country skiing on the trails in the region
- cosy places to stop for refreshments at traditional alpine pastures and huts
How far is the nearest ski area from the hotel?
The nearest ski resort is the Bergeralm in Steinach am Brenner, which is only about 12 kilometres from Das Eppensteiner. There is also a practice T-bar lift available for children and beginners right in Navis. Other winter sports destinations include the Stubai Glacier, around 46 km away, and the family-friendly ski area in Trins, approximately 22 km from the accommodation, which is particularly well suited to beginners and children.
Is there a ski storage room with a ski boot dryer?
Yes, guests have access to a lockable ski storage room with a ski boot dryer. Please note that the holiday home does not have its own ski storage room.
Is there a ski bus stop at the accommodation?
Yes, the bus stop is located directly outside the accommodation. From there, the ski bus takes you to the Bergeralm ski area in Steinach am Brenner.
Can I borrow snowshoes?
Yes, snowshoes and toboggans are available to borrow free of charge at Eppensteiner Apartments & Holiday Home.
Are there cross-country ski trails nearby?
No, there are no cross-country ski trails in Navis itself. However, the Wipptal region offers several excellently prepared trails, including those in the Gschnitz Valley and Schmirn. All cross-country ski trails in the Wipptal valley can be used free of charge.
Are the prices per person or per accommodation unit?
For the double and single rooms, prices are charged per person. For the apartments and the holiday home, prices are charged per accommodation unit based on an occupancy of two guests. For each additional guest aged 7 and over staying in an apartment or the holiday home with two full-paying adults, a supplement of €35.00 per night applies.
What services are included in the price?
The price includes the Wipptal Card, free Wi-Fi, parking directly at the accommodation, bed linen and towels, and use of the wellness area with its sauna and infrared cabin. Guests also have access to ski and bicycle storage. When booking a room, the breakfast buffet is also included in the price.
Is the final cleaning included in the price?
No, a final cleaning fee of €70.00 applies to apartment bookings, while a final cleaning fee of €180.00 applies to the holiday home.
What is the cancellation policy?
The following cancellation terms apply:
- Up to 14 days before arrival: free cancellation
- From 14 to 1 day before arrival: 50 per cent of the total price
- On the day of arrival or in the event of a no-show: 90% of the total price
Is a deposit required?
Yes, a deposit of 50% of the total booking value is required to confirm your reservation.

How much is the local tourist tax?
The local tourist tax is €2.60 per person per night for guests aged 14 and over. No, the local tourist tax is not included in the price and is charged separately on site.

We accept cash as well as major debit and credit cards such as Visa and Mastercard.
Is a deposit required on arrival?
No, Eppensteiner Apartments & Holiday Home do not require a security deposit on arrival.
Is there a minimum length of stay?
Yes, a minimum stay applies and varies depending on the season and the type of accommodation. You are welcome to send us your enquiry, and we will be happy to prepare a personalised offer.
Can an existing booking be amended?
Yes, a booking can generally be amended. However, we kindly ask you to contact us as early as possible so that we can prepare a personalised offer for you or check availability. Depending on the time of the amendment, cancellation terms may apply.
Are dogs or other pets allowed?
Yes, dogs are welcome at Eppensteiner Apartments & Holiday Home for an additional charge of €25.00 per day (excluding food).
Please note that dogs are not permitted in the dining room or wellness area. We kindly ask you to bring your own dog bed or blanket. One dog is permitted per room, apartment or holiday home.
Can special arrangements or surprises be organised, such as a cake or flowers?
Yes, we are happy to organise small surprises such as flowers or a cake for special occasions on request. Please contact us in good time so that we can discuss your requirements on an individual basis and prepare a personalised offer.
